... However, to differentiate between different dimensions of power, and how they mattered for governance during the euro crisis, we require as a starting point a general notion of power. Here we draw on the later Lukes' (2005) insightful combination of theoretical perspectives that focus on direct decision-making power (Dahl 1957), indirect agenda-setting power (Bachrach and Baratz 1970) and preference shaping (Lukes 1974).
