This study was conducted to demonstrate the anxiety levels of students, who are receiving sports education at higher education level in Turkey's physical education and sports colleges, regarding contracting the new type coronavirus based on the dependent and independent variables determined via their opinions. "Athletes' Anxiety Scale Regarding Contracting New Type Coronavirus (Covid-19)" (AASRCNTC) developed by Tekkursun Demir et al. (2020) was employed within the scope of this study. AASRCNTC Scale consists of 2 subdimensions and 16 items in total. For the scale method used in this study, necessary permissions were obtained with the decision of Bitlis Eren University Ethics Principles and Ethics Committee dated 09/09/2020 and numbered 2020/07-IV. The sample group of the study consisted of 135 students and the obtained data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 software program. Independent sample t-test and One-Way ANOVA tests were used for the analysis of the data obtained from the participants. Although a significant difference was detected with the variable of being a national athlete, other variables did not result in any differences. "Pearson's correlation analysis" was conducted to identify the level and the direction of the relationships between variables. In the correlation analysis, it was seen that the strongest correlation was between "(AASRCNTC)" and the individual anxiety sub-dimension (r = 0.949; p <0.05). This relationship was positive and was at a very high level. Based on the results of this study, the fact that there is no statistically significant difference in the relationship between the variables of age, class, income status, smoking, alcohol consumption, daily sleeping schedule, and being afflicted by chronic disease and anxiety regarding contracting coronavirus has been interpreted as a sign that the anxiety created by these circumstances has turned into an isomorphic situation in these individuals. Structured Abstract: Introduction: Covid 19 pandemic, which is currently affecting the whole world on a global scale, has caused profound changes in political, social, economic, and sports activities. ... Although the research of Polatcan and Kaptangil (2021) is in parallel with the findings of the current study, there is no significant difference between the anxiety of contracting coronavirus between the participants with chronic diseases and those without chronic diseases in both studies. The findings of the present study contrast with the findings of some studies; While Wang et al. (2020) found in their research that individuals with a history of chronic disease have higher levels of anxiety, there is no significant difference between the chronic disease variable in the findings of the current study. ...
