Large Co-rich Fe-Cu-Au skarn deposits have been discovered in the world, such as the Cornwall Fe-Cu skarn deposit in southeastern Pennsylvania and the Mount Elliott Cu-Au skarn deposit in Queensland, Australia (Schulz et al., 2017). In addition, several Co-bearing skarn deposits in China have been studied, such as the Zhuchong Fe skarn deposit in the Middle-Lower Yangtze River metallogenic belt, the Pusangguo Cu-Pb-Zn skarn deposit in Tibet, the Lalingzaohuo Cu-polymetallic and Galinge Fe skarn deposits in the East Kunlun area (Pan et al., 2013;Wang et al., 2022;Chen et al., 2023;Liang et al., 2023;Liu et al., 2024).
