Some cultural nuances can be found regarding the enactment and enforcement of masculine norms and levels of adherence (Wong et al., 2017); however, in general, the Guy Code rules noted above are fairly cross-cultural and relevant to diverse boys and men including those from certain indigenous societies (Arciniega et al., 2008;Froyum, 2007;Gilmore, 1990;Majors and Billson, 1993).
