The general public in Pakistan uses new media technologies such as wikis, blogs, and several social media platforms for social connection, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp, Twitter, etc. Social media is widely recognized as a medium for exchanging ideas, opinions, and political awareness, among other things. This research paper investigates the implications of new media technologies on political ideologies in Pakistan. The study utilizes a mixed-methods approach to examine public perceptions and behaviors toward new media platforms and their impact on political engagement, communication, and information dissemination. The study quantifies and evaluates how new media technology affects the political system. The research was conducted using the survey method. The population of the study consisted of 200 respondents. A questionnaire was distributed among the targeted audience, and the survey results were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences. Several key findings emerge through the analysis of survey data. Firstly, there is a high level of adoption and engagement with new media technologies among the Pakistani population, highlighting their significance as channels for political communication. These new media technologies significantly impact transferable changes to the nation's political structure and political mobilization. Respondents believe these platforms have increased political participation and facilitated discussions on government policies and political issues. However, challenges such as maintaining constructive discourse and ensuring the accuracy of information persist. Overall, the research underscores the multifaceted impact of new media technologies on political ideologies in Pakistan, emphasizing the need for informed policy and media practices to promote transparency, inclusivity, and democratic political processes.

The basic goal of the study named “Effects of Pakistani TV Dramas on Social Behavior of Women” is to discover the cultivation effects of social issues/problems based Pakistani TV dramas on women of Bahawalpur. The researcher collects a sample of 300 women who live in Bahawalpur with different educational backgrounds by using purposive sampling. The researchers found that social issues based dramas have negative impact on women’s behavior moreover dramas are portraying the issues as exactly as they are prevailing in the society. The study describes that women get more information regarding social issues that are portrayed in the society”. It also illustrates that women believe dramas play an important role in the resolution of social issues and problem in the society.

English has been considered as one of the most useful spoken language and is referred as Lingua Franca all around the globe. English is the major source for communicating all over the world. In different cultures mostly people speak their native language but use English as an alternate. This paper explains the lexical borrowing that means the explanation about some words from Urdu that has turned out to be part of the English language in newspapers of Pakistan. In this regard, the most circulated and popular English Newspapers of Pakistan, The Nation and The News were selected to analyze the words from Urdu being normally used in the English language. One year period from 1st January to 31st December 2019 has been selected for this research. The researchers draw from the categories of hard and soft news, formed by Tuchman in 1973, in the selected newspapers. The basic theme of this study is that finding the Urdu words that have become part of English language in Pakistani circumstances. This is a study of Urdu borrow words that got their way in English in daily communication and concludes that there are a variety of Urdu terms that have been used in the English language for communication in English newspapers of Pakistan.

Social media is considered the most readily overused means of communication between individuals and other social stakeholders. Its usage in politics has been increased drastically over the years. In Pakistani politics, it has been noticed that a shift occurred in the dynamics of the political landscape due to the use of social media. It has been excessively used in political campaigns, political protests, political talk shows both by the politicians and the general public. The general public became more conscious of their political rights, forcing established political organizations to respond appropriately. The purpose of this research was to see how this media is influencing voter behavior in Punjab province. A survey was conducted to find out the role of social media in creating political awareness and political mobilization. A sample size of 300 participants has been chosen to conduct the research. The results of the study depict that social media plays a vital role in the dissemination of public awareness and inflicts upon the voting behavior of the masses.

Social media's impact on youth is creating additional challenges and opportunities. Social Networking sites provide a platform for discussion on burning issues that has been overlooked in today's scenario. The impact of social networking sites in the changing mind-set of the youth. It was survey type research and data was collected through the questionnaire. 300 sampled youth fill the questionnaire; non-random sampling technique was applied to select sample units. The main objectives were as (1) To analyze the influence of social media on youth social life (2) To assess the beneficial and preferred form of social media for youth (3) To evaluate the attitude of youth towards social media and measure the spending time on social media (4) To recommend some measure for proper use of social media in right direction to inform and educate the people. Collected data was analyzed in term of frequency, percentage, and mean score of statements. Following were main findings Majority of the respondents shows the agreements with these influences of social media. Respondents opine Facebook as their favorite social media form, and then the like Skype as second popular form of social media, the primary place for them, 46 percent responded connect social media in educational institution computer labs, mainstream responded as informative links share, respondents Face main problem during use of social are unwanted messages, social media is beneficial for youth in the field of education, social media deteriorating social norms, social media is affecting negatively on study of youth. Social media promotes unethical pictures, video clips and images among youth, anti-religious post and links create hatred among peoples of different communities, Negative use of social media is deteriorating the relationship among the countries, social media is playing a key role to create political awareness among youth. Pakistani Elite Press and Public Agenda: The Case of Women Social Issues

This study attempts to find the correlation between the coverage of social issues of women by Pakistani elite press and the preferences of its readers regarding the coverage. The results show that Pakistani elite press has its own policy to give space and prominence by covering social issues of women in its contents and its readers are not agreed with its policy. The policy adopted by both dailies is different from each other. The News did not give more space and prominence to the issues in its coverage. The issues of murder and rape are on the top in the list of the agenda of The News. On the other hand, The daily Dawn has a policy to highlight the issues by covering them with more space and prominence. The issues of murder and women rights are on the top in the list of the agenda of Dawn. While in perspective of audience characteristics, the readers those higher in age, education, belong to social sciences, female, and married comparatively have more correspondence with the agenda of the dailies. The issues of murder, rape, and women rights have received maximum coverage by Pakistani elite press in overall coverage.
