This study was conducted at the Department of Plant Protection, College of Agriculture, Al-Muthanna University, Iraq. The factorial experiment included studying the effect of two factors: First one : Urea at concentrations of 0 , 10 and 10 mg/ L. dissolved in tap water. Second factor: Treated with Mycorrhiza (Glomusmosseae) in seeds of barley. A Completely randomized design (CRD) was used with four replicates and means were compared according to L.S.D. test at the level of 0.05. The results were summarized as follows: Mycorrhiza treatment was significantly superior in germination % , plant height, fresh and dry weight of shoots and roots (41.3%, 10.44 cm, 13.7g, 7.02 g, 18.5 g, and 10.13 g.plant-1), respectively as well as Urea treatment (0.25g.L-1) was significant and superior compared to other treatments in fresh weight of vegetative roots (6.5, 18.6 g.plant-1. Results also indicated that the interaction of Mycorrhiza with urea 0.25 g.L-1 had a significant increase in most of the studied indicators.
