The purpose of the article is to continue a series of studies of the history of instruments, devices and equipment, which were used both in military and scientific research of the Astronomical Observatory of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, in particular, to consider a subcollection of aerial photography tools. observatories after service in the Armed Forces. The relevance of the topic is due to the study of the history of aerial photography tools as a separate area of research, to track the evolution of change, avoid unnecessary technical errors, gain best practices from the past, and identify new features depending on the conditions of its use. The methodological basis was the principles of science and historicism, general scientific methods (analysis and synthesis) and methods of historical science (chronological, historical-genetic, historical-comparative, historiographical, source studies). The main results are to clarify the history of aerial photography, coverage of aerial photography production in Ukraine at the production association “Svema”, consideration of the development of special optical tools for aerial photography on the example of four exhibits of the Astronomical Observatory Museum – C‑13 machine gun, aerial camera А‑39, AFA-BAF and night automatic aerial camera NAFA‑3с/25.

The horizontal solar telescope. Implementation of comprehensive study methodology attractions of science and technology – horizontal solar telescope (HST) – briefly described in the article. Some approaches to the problem of astronomical heritage studies highlighted. A brief chronology of solar research in the world and in Kiev is represented. The process of creation and further development of HRT in the world are analysed. History, observation, modifications and other parameters Kiev HRT investigated by the proposed method. The main scientific problems which were solved on HRT at different times are indicated.
