Background: Training methodologies in badminton often focus on technique and endurance, yet the integration of scientific principles, such as torque, remains underutilized. As a critical factor influencing shot power, speed, and accuracy, a deeper understanding of torque can optimize training effectiveness and systematically enhance athlete performance. Aims: This research aims to analyze prospective badminton coaches' understanding and application of physics concepts, particularly torque, in training methodologies. Methods: This research employed the qualitative descriptive method involving 24 prospective badminton coaches (17 males and 7 females, aged 18-22) in Bandung, Indonesia. A survey was conducted to assess their understanding of physics and its application in training. Data collected through the questionnaire was analyzed using NVivo software, which facilitated thematic analysis and coding of qualitative responses. Results: The findings indicate that, while most of the respondents are familiar with physics terms, only a few recognize torque as a relevant concept in the badminton context. A deeper understanding of torque can help coaches optimize playing techniques by improving racket rotation efficiency, thereby enhancing hitting power with minimal energy expenditure. Conclusion: This research demonstrates that integrating physics concepts, particularly torque on the racket, into badminton training provides a valuable perspective for improving training quality. The findings suggest that badminton coach training programs should integrate physics concepts to enhance training effectiveness and efficiency while systematically improving athlete performance based on scientific evidence.

This study aims to analyze the trends in scientific publications related to the application of physics in sports education over the past decade using a bibliometric approach. Data was collected from the Scopus database using the keywords "TITLE-ABS-KEY(Physics AND Sport AND Education)" within the 2015-2024 range, resulting in 83 documents. The extracted data, in CSV and RIS formats, was analyzed using VOSviewer 1.6.20 and Microsoft Excel 365 to conduct co-authorship and co-occurrence analyses. The results indicate that research in this field focuses on biomechanics, coaching strategies, and the technological integration in sports learning and training, with a significant increase in the use of digital monitoring systems. It can be concluded that physics education in sports continues to evolve through technological innovations, yet there are still gaps in its application to enhance the effectiveness of learning and coaching. Future research should adopt a multidisciplinary approach to enhance the integration of physics-based technology in sports education and training.

This study aims to conduct a bibliometric analysis of the use of virtual reality in science education over three decades (1993–2023). The method involved data from Google Scholar-indexed publications using Publish or Perish with keywords related to “virtual reality” and “education” over the past 3 decades. Nine hundred and eighty-six publications were obtained with a total of 131,130 citations with an average of 133 citations/paper and 4371 citations/year. The collected data were then screened to ensure its quality. Next, VOSviewer software was conducted to perform co-authorship and co-occurrence analysis. The results of the co-authorship analysis showed that there were 164 authors eligible to be visualized and divided into 88 clusters, indicating a high level of collaboration among authors in this field. Co-occurrence analysis shows that “virtual reality” has an occurrence of 696 in cluster 5 and “science education” is only 16 in cluster 2 with word networks formed only on the words “virtual reality,” “education,” and “field.” This study emphasizes the need for better VR in science education and more research on its impact on students’ science literacy. It outlines VR usage trends in scienceeducation, informing future studies. The findings particularly highlight the importance of investigating VR’s effectiveness in formal educational settings.

Thisstudy aims to find out and describe the values of Sundanese local wisdom that can be implemented in literacy-based learning in madrasas in the process of strengthening the Pancasila student profile. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method by analyzing the problem and then breaking it down into ideas. the preparation of this paper uses secondary data by reviewing relevant literature from scientific articles. After the data is collected, the analysis is carried out using descriptive and comparative analysis. The profile of Pancasila students is interpreted as a profile of lifelong students with the character of faith and piety to God Almighty, noble character, global diversity, cooperation, independence, criticalthinking, and creative reasoning. In this regard, Sundanese local wisdom can be internalized as silih asih, silih asah, silih asuh, silih wawangi, cageur, bageur, bener, pinter and singer. These values are moral values that are firmly held by the Sundanese people and are relevant to strengthening the profile of Pancasila students. In its implementation, these values are designed through the literacy movement by dividing its activities into 3 stages. The first stage is the habituation stage. At this stage, the inculcation of local wisdom values can be divided into each day of the learning process, so in one week of learning, students can form the expected characteristics of the Pancasila student profile. In the second stage, namely the development stage through the literacy corner. Thelast stage is the learning stage applying learning models that focus on students.

JMIE (Journal of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Education)

Traditional assessment in education primarily measures the academic performance of learners without reflecting the learning process. Many educators neglect to reflect on their teaching practices for continuous quality improvement. The authentic assessment instrument, Teaching and Learning Trajectory with E-Student Activity Sheet (E-SAS), can identify the profile of teaching and learning trajectories within the syntax of instructional models, enabling educators to determine appropriate corrective measures for each session. The development of this assessment instrument utilized the Research and Development (R&D) method, following the ADDIE model. The study involved 34 students enrolled in a Basic Science Concepts course. Fifteen authentic teaching and learning trajectory test items were developed for three sessions and were validated as "Valid" and achieved a "High" reliability category, with a Cronbach's Alpha reliability coefficient value of 0.68. The overall average student scores showed a significant improvement to 83.33 after the implementation of corrective actions. The quality of the learning process, employing Problem-Based Learning syntax, improved in each session following the educators' reflections based on the teaching and learning trajectory profiles.

Gambar 1.
