Prionodera metallica Jacoby is a new synonym of Lycaste trichoa Gistl. The genus Lycaste Gistl is redescribed and restricted to the species L. trichoa and L. eumolpoides (Lefèvre). The genus Callicolaspis Bechyné is resurrected for the remaining species formerly placed in Lycaste.
