Trinidad appears in Hoffman (1979a) with three genera: Lepturodesmus Silvestri, 1898 (including five species shared with continental Venezuela, but without indication of which species are in each country), Zigwadesmus Chamberlin, 1918 (two species), and Belonodesmus Chamberlin, 1918 (one species). In our literature review, the presence of the genus Lepturodesmus in Trinidad and Tobago is listed with two species: Lepturodesmus hardyi Shelley, 2002and L. joannae Hoffman, 1975(Shelley 2002a, 2002bSierwald et al. 2024). The genus Pandirodesmus was described based on its type species Pandirodesmus disparipes Silvestri, 1932 from Guyana, a continental country (South America), but Shelley & Smith (2015) described a second for Tobago (Trinidad and Tobago), P. rutherfordi Shelley et Smith, 2015;and recently, a third, P. jaggernauthi Vandenspiegel, Golovatch et Rutherford, 2022 was described for Trinidad (Vandenspiegel et al. 2022). ...
