The various models of textile industry cluster are firstly discussed, and the importance of cluster innovation networks was drawn from the successful experience of cluster all over the world. The mechanism of formation and evolution of textile industry cluster has been analysed from the aspects of formal economic networks and informal social networks. At last, according to the trend of globalization, a suggestion that cluster innovation networks should meet into the global value chain is put farward.

The present situation of Chinese textile industry cluster is analysed, and according to the theory and concept of cluster, the competitive advantage of textile clusters is studied from four aspects such as labor division and specialization and cooperation, transaction costs, learning by doing and regional economy. Finally, some countermeasures to overcome the matters are put forward which prevent the cluster effects.
