Рассмотрены вопросы номенклатуры и таксономии нескольких названий, относящихся к Biddulphia tridens. Проведено изучение морфологии по ископаемым материалам из Таманского п-ва, а также географическое распространение в ископаемом и современном времени. / Nomenclature and taxonomy of some synonymous names of Biddulphia tridens are considered. The study of morphology based on fossil materials from the Taman Peninsula, as well as geographical distribution in the fossil and modern times was carried out.

Приведены новые данные о морфологии и распространении Thalassiosira mediterranea – нового для планктона Азовского моря вида диатомовых водорослей. Створки T. mediterranea были обнаружены как в поверхностных осадках западного и юго-восточного района Азовского моря, так и в фитопланктоне Таганрогского залива. Учитывая, что T. mediterranea не найден в Черном море, велика вероятность, что вид был занесен с балластными водами судов из средиземноморского региона. / New data on the morphology and distribution of Thalassiosira mediterranea, a new to the plankton of the Sea of Azov diatom species, are presented. The valves of T. mediterranea were found both in the surface sediments of the western and south-eastern Sea of Azov and in the phytoplankton of the Taganrog Bay. Because T. mediterranea is not found in the Black Sea, it is likely that the species was introduced with the ballast water of ships from the Mediterranean region.

New data on morphology of 7 infraspecific taxa of Actinocyclus octonarius, frequently found in the Holocene deposits of the Sea of Azov, are presented. New species A. pseudopodolicus Kovaleva et Gogorev, sp. nov., and variety A. octonarius var. tonsura Kovaleva et Gogorev, var. nov. are described. They are similar to varieties of A. octonarius and some other Actinocyclus species but differ from them in presence of curved fasci-cules of areolae in A. pseudopodolicus and hyaline ring on valves of A. octonarius var. tonsura.

New data on the morphology of 11 species of centric and araphid diatoms from the orders Melosirales, Fragilariales, Tabellariales, Rhabdonematales found during the late summer in uppermost brackish-water layer of a unique subpolar meromictic Lake Mogilnoye at salinity to 4 ‰ and temperature about 10 °С are presented. Three species are firstly recorded in the lake, Pseudostaurosira cf. elliptica, Stauroforma atomus, Opephora krumbeinii. A new combination, Stauroforma schulzii (Brockmann) Gogorev, comb. nov. is published.

Taxonomical composition of diatoms (benthos, plankton, epiphyton, epilyton) in mineralized reservoirs of Staraya Russa (Novgorod Region) is studied. Results of SEM investigations on morphology of the centric (4 species) and pennate araphid (7 species) diatoms are represented, illustrations of 7 species are given. New species Fragilaria graciliformis sp. nov. and F. poretzkyana sp. nov., and a new variety Fragilaria poretzkyana var. rivalus var. nov. are described. Teratogen forms of 3 species are marked.
