A scenic area website is playing an increasingly important role in tourist decision-making process. On the basis of SERVQUAL scale and by taking the features of scenic area website into account, a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation approach is introduced to evaluate the service quality of the website. The evaluation system comprises five dimensions: usability, effectiveness, responsivity, reliability, as well as empathy. Users of scenic area website identify dimensional indicators using evaluation surveys. Furthermore, the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model is used to assess the service quality of scenic area website. Data provided by 292 travelers show that the service quality of Jiuzhaigou website stands at medium level. At the end, the importance-performance analysis method is applied to upgrade the service quality of scenic area websites from the above five dimensions: empathy is in key improvement area, usability and responsivity are in continue-to-be-optimized area, reliability is in positively expanding area and effectiveness is in the moderately adjustment area.

Ridesharing has emerged as an alternative transportation mode along road networks around the world. Rideshare matching problem is vital to improve the sustainable development of ridesharing systems. This paper aims to address the stable two-sided satisfied matching problem considering the participants’ psychological perception. First of all, we investigate the elements that influence passengers’ and drivers’ ridesharing experience by means of semi-structured research interviews and questionnaire survey. Two ridesharing perception evaluation systems are originally established to get the preference orders of passengers and drivers separately. Then, rideshare matching-related definitions are stated and rideshare matching linguistic information processing is also elaborated in detail based on preference utility function, disappointment function, as well as elation function. Furthermore, we propose a stable two-sided satisfied matching model on account of fuzzy linguistic information processing about ridesharing, which is able to reflect participants’ psychological factors. To verify the validity of our model, we present a two-sided matching case based on hypothetical rideshare matching platform. The analytical results indicate that the use of stable two-sided satisfied matching method based on fuzzy linguistic information enables to substantially satisfy both drivers’ and passengers’ expectation and improve the sustainability of ridesharing systems.

In social network analysis, the attribute values of actors and their relationship values are only expressed as 0 and 1. In reality, there are both cooperation and competition among actors, and their attribute values and relationship values are more complicated. The intuitionistic fuzzy number is used to construct the attribute values and the relationship values between actors in social network. The concept of position, role and equivalence in intuitionistic fuzzy social network is redefined. The position and role analysis method of intuitionistic fuzzy social network is therefore proposed. Finally, a numerical case is used to demonstrate the efficiency and feasibility of the theory in this paper.

Owing to the complexity of decision environment, not all the attributes in multiple attribute decision making are quantitative. There are also some qualitative attributes, which are related to the integration of multiple attribute decision making (MADM) and linguistic multiple attribute decision making (LMADM). The specific method for composite multiple attribute decision making (CMADM) problems is crucial for decision maker (DM) to make scientific decision. In this paper, the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method is extended to a Composite Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution (CTOPSIS) method to solve the CMADM problems. As the basis of the CTOPSIS method, the distance measure model in linguistic space and in n-dimension linguistic space is generated based on the non-linear mapping. Based on the distance measure in linguistic space, a standard deviation method is taken to get the attribute weight. At the same time, the distance measure models are proposed based on the distance measure in n-dimension linguistic space, which are used to calculate the distance between the alternatives and the positive and negative idea points separately. Furthermore, a CTOPSIS method is generated to solve the CMADM problems. Finally, a numerical example is illustrated to explain the process. And the result shows that the CTOPSIS method is quite practical and more approximate to the real decision making situation.

This study applied the combined methods of Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) and Information Entropy Weights to evaluate the tourism destination competitiveness (TDC) of 13 cities in Sichuan Province. In the empirical study, IEW was used to determine the subjective weights of four aspects and 26 evaluation indexes, which have the influence on TDC. In addition, applying the essential ideas of TOPSIS, chosen alternative should have the shortest geometric from the positive ideal solution (PIS) and the longest geometric distance from the negative ideal solution (NIS), to conduct a comprehensive evaluation and sort-based analysis. In the end, the essay arranged the TDC of 13 cities in Sichuan Province from high to low, then produced policy recommendations. The results represent that IEW & TOPSIS were an efficient and effective way to evaluate TDC. © 2019 American Institute of Mathematical Sciences. All Rights Reserved.

In the social network, trust information features dynamic and incomplete. The experts' weight information is unknown beforehand, or there is not enough reliable sources. The dynamic process of trust propagation is analyzed, a new TS-UTOWA operator for multipath propagation is introduced, and an innovative D-UTOWA operator is proposed for trust aggregation in this paper. As for the efficiency of uninorm trust propagation, the average value of the other's values is adopted to estimate the incomplete sociomatrix vector. Finally, a case about tourist route arrangment is discussed to demonstrate the efficiency and feasibility of the theory in this article.

Sustainable development is the key factor which attracts managers and scenic scholars attention. In the scenic system, economic subsystem, environment subsystem and scenic space subsystem are the major factors affecting the scenic sustainable development. In this paper, we analyze the relationship among them and build a system dynamics model to simulate the operation of scenic system which can show scenic states in the future. In order to provide workable proposals for sustainable development, we take Jiuzhai Valley as a research object, and use sensitivity analysis to find the impact of quantity of pollutants discharged, quantity of pollutants disposed, and average daily tourist reception capacity on the scenic development. From the sensitivity analysis, we conclude that adjusting quantity of pollutants discharged and disposed and average daily tourist reception capacity can improve the sustainable development of scenic. Finally, Some suggestions are put forward to Jiuzhai Valley managers.

Multi-attribute group decision making is generally applied in the language environment, and how to obtain the attribute weights has also been the focus of attention recently. This paper proposes a new method based on the theory of linguistic operator and the entropy weight method to determine the attribute weights in the linguistic multi-attribute group decision making: the linguistic entropy weight method. At the same time, the missing values are completed. The method used to complete missing values not only shows the average of the evaluation values, but also avoids the impact of the value fluctuations, so it has the validity and accuracy. Finally we demonstrate its applicability through the evaluation example of the scenic spot order.

With the development of tourism, the number of tourists is rapidly increasing. However, too many concentrated tourists at peak-tour have resulted in the distribution imbalance of tourists in the scenic area. Now the imbalance diminishes tourist satisfaction and destructs the ecological environment. Thus the contradictions between economic development and ecological environment protection of the scenic area are becoming increasingly acute. Tourists shunt and scheduling, which is a hot topic of tourism management, will help realize the load balance of the scenic area and ease the contradictions between economic development and environmental protection. In this paper, we build a simulation model of tourist shunt in real-time for scenic area, and search an optimal shunt scheme of various time-periods through genetic algorithm. Finally we take the scenic area of Jiuzhai Valley as an example and verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme in this paper.

... Most of the study to date has been done on the environmental carrying capacity of tourism, the variables that affect how tourism and the environment coordinate, the ethics of tourism and the environment, and the environmental effects of tourism activities (Ali et al., 2021;Butler, 2000;Holden, 2003;Malloy & Fennell, 1998;Yu & Gao, 2023).
