In 1989 in Paris, I came across a document which states that Claude-Nicolas Ledoux was interested in the Hypnerotomachia Poliphili. More recently, I surveyed the published scholarship on Ledoux and could find no reference to a connection between the architect and this work. I present here the evidence I found, with some tentative suggestions of its possible significance.
