Paul Amboise

The authors present in detail recent records of some nine rare or remarkable saproxylic Beetles for the French fauna. They mainly come from inventories carried out by the entomology network of the National forestry office (ONF), as well as from inventories carried out by the Cevennes national Park, from traps of the Pine wilt Nematode national monitoring plan of the Forest health department (DSF) and from personal observations of several auteurs. The species concerned are Enneadesmus trispinosus (Olivier, 1795) (Bostrichidae), Rhizophagus oblongicollis Blatch & Horner, 1892 (Monotomidae), Salpingus tapirus (Abeille de Perrin, 1874), Rabocerus gabrieli (Gerhardt, 1901) (Salpingidae), Calicnemis obesa (Erichson, 1841) (Scarabaeidae), Cephennium cauchoisi Orousset, 2017 (Staphylinidae), Corticeus fraxini (Kugelann, 1794) (Tenebrionidae) and Aulonothroscus laticollis (Ribiński, 1897) (Throscidae). Bitoma siccana (Pascoe, 1863) (Zopheridae) is recorded for the second time in France, in southern Corsica, in a Cork Oak open forest, that maybe confirms its naturalization in this country. Some comments are made and photos of habitus of several species are presented.
