Present paper reports the occurrence of three grouper species Epinephelus areolatus, Epinephelus magniscuttis, and Epinephelus longispinis from Odisha coast for the first time and an evidential record of Epinephelus radiatus. Report of these three species of groupers (Family: Serranidae) have increased the diversity of groupers to 15 species for the Odisha coast.

... Because of its visual attraction, the fish are sold in large numbers in the market and kept in fish aquaria, tanks or ponds (Jha & Barat, 2005). In the Indian finfish culture system, viral pathogens such as Cyprinid herpesvirus-2, carp oedema virus and red seabream iridovirus have been reported in goldfish, koi carp and seabass, respectively as a result of a surveillance programme supported by National Fisheries Development Board of Indian Council of Agricultural Research since 2013 (Sahoo et al., 2016;Swaminathan et al., 2016;Girisha et al., 2020;Sahoo et al., 2020).
