This article is devoted to discussing the issue of solar panel waste in connection with the growing share of solar energy in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The main causes of solar panel failure are end of life, failures during normal operation, and weather-related emergencies. The climatic conditions of Uzbekistan were studied and it was found that in some regions of the country there are strong winds, which are a potential danger for solar panels. Calculations showed that the probability of destructive winds is 0.00045, which can lead to emergency destruction of panels (up to 1,224 tonnes of waste per lifetime). High air dustiness can cause increased water consumption for cleaning the panels (68 times the design flow rate) and consequently an increase in the volume of polluted wastewater. Thus, it is clear that the problem of waste associated with solar energy development has not yet been adequately addressed. In order to take timely action, it is necessary to develop appropriate regulatory documents for accounting and handling of solar energy waste.

This article examines the economic efficiency of land reclamation measures for desalinating saline land, using the example of a hypothetical farm in the Syrdarya province of Uzbekistan. The evaluation method employed is the calculation of discounted costs. The results indicate that the payback period for works on weakly and moderately saline lands is 4 years and 3 years, respectively, with a net discounted income of 58,375and58,375 and 143,678 for the hypothetical farm under analysis. It is established that desalinisation of highly saline lands is unprofitable and they should be excluded from agricultural turnover.

Since silicon (Si) was found to be effective in crop production recently, more information is needed about its characteristics, including how it functions as a nano fertilizer for crop performance. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the impact of the Si-containing nano fertilizer on cotton growth parameters and productivity in the arid region. The research conducted in open field conditions over the two consecutive growing seasons (2021 and 2022) revealed that the application of the Si-containing product significantly increased the biomass (10.6%), economic (19.4%), seed (14.3%), and lint yields (18.2%) of cotton as compared to the control group values. Likewise, the cotton biomass, economic, seed, and lint yields were increased by 11.8, 9.7, 9.5, and 9.1%, respectively, compared to the control variables after the Uzbiogumin application. Agronomic nitrogen-use efficiency (aNUE), physiological nitrogen-use efficiency (pNUE), internal nitrogen-use efficiency (iNUE), and apparent nitrogen recovery efficiency (aNRE) parameters were increased by 2.4-fold, 2.1-fold, 34.6 and 57.3%, respectively, with the application of Si nanonutrition. Although the cotton treated with nano Si produced a greater yield, while Uzbiogumin application resulted in more cotton biomass. Based on the results it can be concluded that the applied nano Si product can be widely used to increase crop productivity, especially in degraded lands under arid environments.

A large number of studies are aimed at increasing the energy efficiency of grinding processes of various solid materials, while maintaining the values of other important indicators, such as material consumption, productivity, etc. Based on this trend, a new method for physically modeling the process of grinding municipal solid waste (MSW) was proposed for the first time. Existing physical modeling techniques are designed for homogeneous and isotropic materials (for example, soil, crushed stone, snow, coal, etc.). The strength properties of solid waste vary widely due to the significant heterogeneity of their components. Consequently, when crushing solid waste, traditional crusher designs have low efficiency in terms of energy intensity, material intensity and product quality. The purpose of this work is to develop a new technique for physical modeling of the grinding process, based on the main principles of similarity theory and modeling, considering the properties of waste heterogeneity. As a result of the research, a block diagram of the physical modeling methodology for the interaction of the working bodies of impact crushing machines with solid waste was developed. A list of tasks for the modeling process and similarity criteria have been determined based on the development of rheological models of the “working body - municipal solid waste” system and the laws of mechanics that characterize the waste grinding process. Based on the developed similarity criteria, scale equations for the grinding process are substantiated and formulas are derived for determining the expected parameters of the original based on the parameters measured on the model. The developed methodology makes it possible to create a crusher design with improved energy efficiency indicators with the least material and labor costs.

The purpose of this article is to assess the process of electrification of transport in Tashkent and forecast some of the possible consequences of this process until 2027. It has been established that with the growth of transport electrification, it is possible to achieve hazardous concentrations of particulate matter in the atmospheric air of the city. A significant relative increase in ferrous and non-ferrous metal waste (by 1.3...3.6 times), as well as scrap tires (by 1.5 times) is also predicted.

At present, Uzbekistan has neither regulatory support for solar panel recycling nor e-waste recycling facilities, which represent a real problem in the country [28,29]. Already now, without the involvement of solar energy, the volume of e-waste in Uzbekistan is quite significant. ...
