In modern society, several studies have focused on women affairs in both developed and developing countries. Through some of such studies, some significant improvements have been recorded in the status of women in developed nations while the reverse has been the case in most developing countries such as Nigeria, mostly in the areas of education, maternal health, entrepreneurship and national development. This means women in developing countries are negatively affected in terms of education, maternal health, entrepreneurship and contributions national development in Nigeria. The present paper intends to discuss how women are negatively affected in these areas using data retrieved from a secondary source and content analysis as its methodology. The article used radical feminism theory to gain insight into the plight of women in Nigeria and advocated equal opportunity for men and women to develop their potentials in its concluding remarks. This could go a long way to ensure the transformation of women lives from poverty to affluence and enhance their immense contributions to societal development. Since contributions to national development depend on potentials which do not have any gender connotation, equal opportunity should be granted to male and female for capacity building. Such an effort could greatly enhance national development than when only one gender (male) is solely empowered.

This study examines the effect of a time usage policy on employee's work-life conflict and the impact of leave programmes on employes' attitude using five selected banks in Nigeria. A sample of N=386 respondents were randomly selected from these banks to participate in the study. Questionnaire was used to collect information from respondents. The standard multiple regression was used to generate results that indicate how well the set of variables representing work-life initiatives on time usage is able to predict work-life conflict. In order to find the relationship between the work-life initiatives on time usage and work-life conflict, the Pearson's product-moment correlation coefficient was used. The result also showed that the correlations between the dependent variable-job-related attitude and independent variable-Leave initiatives to determine the level of relationship the work-life balance initiative bears on job-related attitude. The finding shows that a relationship exists between job related attitude and leave initiatives; however they are not statistically significant @ .05 level.

... Dwelling on the above, however, it could be observed that several research have been conducted on extrinsic motivational factors in social and behavioural sciences while intrinsic factors resident in students, which include self-concept, social networks and habit, have attracted little scholarly works. Although, the study of Okunlola, et al., (2016) focused only on the influence of intrinsic factors on students' academic performance; it ignored factors such as study habit and social networks of students. Additionally, a greater proportion of the past studies on this subject were conducted in developed nations while just a few have been explored in the literature emanating from sub-Saharan Africa. ...
