We analyzed the results of the single- and the two-stage glaucoma and cataract surgery. We observed the results of the cataract extraction at 120 patients (120 eyes) with primary open-angle glaucoma, who were operated for glaucoma previously and 120 patients (120 eyes) who undergone single-stage operation. Many patients had comorbid eye diseases as well as somatic comorbidity except for glaucoma and cataract. 44,6% of the patients had high visual acuity in a long period of time. The second patients group had the highest visual acuity. The patients of the first group showed low intraocular pressure. The outflow of aqueous humor index was at a sufficiently high level. In the majority of cases the results depend on the stage of the glaucomatous process. Single-stage cataract and glaucoma surgery is helpful for the glaucomatous process stabilization in the patients for a long period of time after the operation. The two-stage operation gives some better results for a long period of time after the operation.
