ABS>A general review of the work performed, including an account of ; design changes and a discussion of the major problems remaining to be solved, is ; presented. Fuel element design and related experiments are reviewed. The DOR ; reactor physics investigations were concentrated on development of calculation ; methods and computer codes and on measurements of DOR lattices in the EXPO ; exponential experiment. Calculations of the thermal properties of the reactor ; were performed. An out-of-pile loop was erected, and investigations on ; measurements of thermal conductivity in organic liquids were carried out. The ; metallurgical investigations were concentrated on examinations of SAP (Sintered ; Aluminum Product) and a UOâ prototype fuel element. Chemical ; investigations were concerned mainly with the pyrolytic stability of orgaric ; coolants. (auth)
