Due to the continuous increase in prices of conventional fuels, the production of biofuels on an industrial, as well as small scale, nowadays is becoming more economically efficient. However, the usage of biofuels in its pure form is a problem when one have to supply them with modern injection systems. Due to the difference in parameters of biofuels in comparison with conventional fuels, the attempt to develop a mixture of optimal parameters for use in diesel engines, equipped with modern injection system, was made. Fuels derived from substrates which are produced independently of food production and which can energize CI engines are occupying now stronger market positions. Easier access to know-how and an uncomplicated production process result in technological development, not only in mass-scale plants but also in smaller devices which meet the needs of individual users or in which residues of other processes are neutralized or reused13 samples were tested, mixed of diesel, FAEE and ethyl alcohol. The mixtures were prepared and tested in The Department of Mechatronics in University of Warmia and Mazury for the most important parameters in the evaluation of possibility of usage to power modern compression ignition engines.

The article presents possibilities of implementation gas, came by wood biomass gasification, to run on internal combustion engines powered normally by Diesel fuel. Carbonization, gasification and burning effects were introduced. Main processes occurring during biomass gasification were shown. Basic chemica l reactions characteristic to each stage were named. The d ifferences in composition of receiv ed gas ac cording to sort of biomass, gasification medium and ty pe of generator were mentioned. In article were depicted way of modus op erandi and structures of typical generators along with its advantages and disadvantages. Gas properties obtained by this method and its main parameters were presented. The advantages and disadvantages posed by the use of wood gas in internal combustion engines were described. Parameters of the gas that should be amended to allow the engi ne to be powered were listed. Also were shown ways of changing these parameters. Necessary engi ne modifications to be able to supply it with wood gas were presented. The article finishes with conclusions and ri sks resulting from t he use of t his technology and also possible impact on the environment.

Due to the ending stocks of fossil fuels, as well as instability of the political situation in the world, especially in countries that are major crude oil suppliers, governments of countries poor in the resources are forced to seek alternative sources of energy. Currently, the most common fuel for admission of internal combustion engines is oil. As a result of the continuous increasement of fuels prices and legislation imposing decrease of toxic exhaust gasses emissions tends to expansion the power base of the automotive industry through the introduction of alternative fuels. One of them is fuels derived from renewable energy sources. These include gaseous fuels like biogas, hydrogen, and its mixtures. The presented paper includes description of Brown gas generator and verification of the desirability of enrichment in hydrogen and oxygen gaseous fuels used to supply internal combustion engines. The connection scheme of Brown gas generator for the engine is also presented. Division of alternative fuels used to power internal combustion engines, diagram of connection generator to the engine when the gas is feed to inlet manifold, Diagram of power supply system of gas generator, are also presented in the paper.

Production of biofuels from vegetable oils, which would be able to meet restrictive standards in quality, is a complicated process. It results from building provision determinants to be met, as well as the method of process, which requires necessary equipment. While the production of ethyl esters is less harmful for operators than in case of methyl esters, so far for both alcohols there are many hazardous for them. One way of reduction inconvenience of the construction requirements for work with explosives is to put the installation on the mobile platform that will enable the creation of biofuels away from the urban areas. For the production of esters from rapeseed oils may be used methanol and ethanol. Depending on alcohol used, the resulting ester will have different properties. Presented material describes the requirements for the buildings where the production of esters can be made. A comparison of properties of methyl and ethyl esters, as well as a description of the transesterification process and the quality of test results obtained in the field esterification plant. The paper focuses on the renewable energy on the example of biodiesel. Esters, being an alternative to diesel oil, fall into two groups: methyl or ethyl fatty acids esters derived from oils, most often rapeseed oil. Biodiesel is available at petrol stations as 100% ester or mixture with diesel oil.

... This results from high rape production [8], uncomplicated transesterification and a suitable percentage of fatty acids in this oil, which results in optimal properties of rapeseed oil esters in applications for feeding CI engines. The authors of this paper have examined the quality of biodiesels obtained from this raw material many times91011. Since it was found based on performed analyses that the prepared mixtures of methyl and ethyl rapeseed oil esters with DF met the requirements of the PN-EN 14214 standard, except for oxidation stability, it is supposed that they would be a suitable fuel for CI engines. ...

POSSIBILITIES OF SUPPLYING INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES BY WOOD GAS
