Неочевидно, что сделанное ранее определение числа хромосом у этого вида 2n = 42 (Pogosyan et al., 1972) относится именно к Hyalopodium araraticum -вид довольно трудно определяется (Tzvelev, 1976). Объединение в одну подтрибу Helictochloinae Röser et Tkach родов Helictochloa и Molineriella, предложенное Tkach et al. (2020), выглядит необоснованным с геномной точки зрения, поскольку фундаментальное различие между этими двумя родами то, что у видов Molineriella необычный 4-хромосомный геном (Devesa et al., 1990a, b), в то время как виды рода Helictochloa имеют основное число хромосом x = 7, а в кариотипе у них может быть от 2n = 2x = 14 до 2n = 22x = 154 (Winterfeld et al., 2014). ...
