Otro aspecto, explican Mondaca, Gajardo y Poblete citados en Bustos y Gairin (2017), cuando señalan que en América Latina se han particularizado las medidas gubernamentales sobre la interculturalidad hacia los contextos indígenas, dejando fuera de estas los colectivos emergentes de migraciones contemporáneas, lo cual es motivo de muchas dificultades que enfrenta el alumnado migrante para su inclusión en las sociedades receptoras. Montón (2003), en su obra aborda los procesos relacionados con la escolarización del estudiantado inmigrante que presenta mayores dificultades para su incorporación en el sistema educativo, así como el de incorporación tardía que posee un nivel de escolaridad deficiente o inexistente, o con un escaso o nulo dominio de la lengua de la sociedad de acogida, a partir de estos planteamientos formula algunas propuestas para su atención. Sobre este tema, Castillo, Santa Cruz-Grau y Vega (2018) destacan en su estudio que en las escuelas chilenas se presentan situaciones que reflejan la segregación de los inmigrantes, y por eso es necesario que la política escolar intervenga en la distribución del estudiantado para atender las consecuencias de dicha discriminación en las aulas de clases. ...
