Companies in the health sector generally experienced an increase in performance during the COVID-19 pandemic, as happened in Indonesia. Demand for medicines and medical devices that are useful in preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus or helping patients recover has experienced an increase in demand which has had an impact on increasing company revenues. To meet this demand, companies of course need working capital to help run their business operations so that the supply of goods can meet demand. For this reason, this research was conducted with the aim of testing whether working capital can predict company profitability, in this case Return on Assets (ROA) in companies in the health sector. The sample for this research was 20 health sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the COVID-19 pandemic for the 2020-2021 period. The data obtained was then tested using simple linear regression. Statistical results found that working capital cannot predict or has no effect on company profitability. This means that there are other variables that can influence the profitability of health sector companies so further research needs to be done on this matter.
