One of the most complex challenges faced by today's interconnected and interdependent common village is organized crime, which essentially constitutes to be nothing less than a guerrilla war against society. Organized crime in itself has multiple branches within, including illegal wildlife trade, terrorism, money laundering, and trafficking and its impact can deter the very core of human society-from human safety to institutionalizing evils of corruption to having an adverse impact on the environment. The authors of this paper endeavor to establish the spread of organized crime as a phenomenon of increasing globalization and its further facilitation by the use of technology. The paper focuses on the recent increase in the industry of illegal wildlife trade and terrorist financing as substantiated in the recent reports released by FATF, keeping in mind the international jurisprudence and the challenges faced by them in addressing these transnational crimes and attempt to make a case for stricter implementation of legal instruments and concerted and coordinated efforts amongst nations to address the same.

Media is considered as one of the mainstays of the general public. The media plays a vital role and directs the society in the current ever evolving times. The contemporary media has experienced enormous shifts in terms of substance, style, approach and the journalistic situation which is currently not confined to just the printed letter and has augmented its base by including the mode of broadcasting, telecasting and new media. “Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference, and impart information and ideas through any media regardless of frontiers. Presently in the time of web, the news coverage has lost the physical limits of transmission of news. The unrestricted flow of information and the competition among the owners of various media has shown careless haste in sole criteria of making news. These days sensationalism of news has turned into the proportion of accomplishment in the journalistic field. The numerous examples of unethical practices and control of market forces in the media where it is directed and organized by the market has forgotten the sole purpose of service of the society and have become a matter of concern lately. This research paper analyses the course of transparency and accountability of media over the years, also drawing a comparison with the original source of legislation (US Legislation) and lists findings and suggestions that can be undertaken to generate authenticity of the media.
