The present study aims to enumerate the ethno-medicinal uses of plants by the Irular communities residing around the Thiruvallur district. The medicinal use of (49) plants belonging to 39 families was identified and recorded by the tribes, along with their botanical identities and methods of drug preparation. The drugs administered locally to heal wounds, including antibiotics, antiseptics, etc., and the necessary information related to the traditional medicinal plants were highlighted in this paper. Wound healing activity is a cellular and biochemical process for restoring the original structure and functions of damaged tissue. The wound may occur from a physical, chemical, thermal, microbial, or immunological insult to the tissues. Various parts of the plants have been in use for several years in tribal communities, traditionally for treating many diseases like skin, colic, sores, cancer, etc. Due to their minimal side effects. The natural agents present in the plants induce wound healing and regeneration from tissue loss by multiple mechanisms. Plant extracts have immense potential for the treatment of wound healing activity. In this review, we focused on the wound healing activity with the pharmacological process of medicinal plants.

Introduction and aim. Brucellosis is a zoonotic disease. Experimental clinical and laboratory diagnosis is still facing problems in identifying the organism. The present study will diagnose a Brucella infection in camel blood in Qatar using serological assays. Isolation and identification were performed on a camel blood sample. Brucella in bacterial isolates was determined by real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) as a gold standard test. Material and methods. A total of 220 samples, 200 random serum samples, and 20 EDTA blood samples were selected among the above-mentioned random samples, and 20 serum samples from camel handlers were collected from Al Shahaniya prov ince, Qatar. The Rose Bengal test (RBT), buffered antigen plate agglutination test (BAPAT), and enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (cELISA) for the monoclonal antibody in serum samples were performed using commercially available kits. For the molecular detection of Brucella, conventional PCR and real-time PCR (GPS kit) were used for the genus-specific insertion sequence IS711. Brucella melitensis (MICROBOSS Hightech GmbH kit) was used to identify subspecies. Results. The results identified by vitek2 compact (30%) showed B. melitensis in 6 samples out of 20 isolates. Both conventional (66.67%) and RT-PCR (83.33%) analyses supported this, demonstrating the presence of Brucella. These tests also showed that Brucella species were present in Rose Bengal 182/200 (91%), BAPAT 182/200 (91%), and cELISA (90%) 180/200 in camel serum. Conclusion. To conclude, the prevalence of brucellosis in dromedary camels is higher in this region, and as a matter of urgency, measures should be taken to control the disease.

Sensitivity of the each test was confirmed by the repeated culture and sub-culture techniques and the suspected species was finally identified as B.melitensis by using VITEK 2 COMPACT-BioMérieux. The RT-PCR results also revealed a positive for Brucella species confirmed with IS711 pre-published primers and 1.5% agarose gel electrophoresis (data not shown and published earlier). Brucellosis plays a role in the remarkable disturbance of the biochemical parameters in the blood of the diseased camels and man; this reflects a disturbance in the general health condition of the host. 52 The references of serum biochemical parameters of brucellosis in camels are extremely poor. The determination of such biomarkers can provide consistent hint to elucidate the pathophysiology of the brucellosis in camels. This investigation was carried out to examine the alterations in the hepatic marker enzymes, renal biomarkers, blood metabolites, and mineral contents in the serum of camels infected with Brucella. Brucellosis is an infectious disease of livestock animals, which is reflected as one of the most severe public health issues worldwide. The main aim of this study is to isolate the B.melitensis and to examine the biochemical parameters in the serum of brucella infected and healthy camels. A total of 200 blood samples were collected from the camels of Shahaniya Governorate, Qatar. The Brucella isolation was done using different bacterial growth techniques. The status of blood metabolites and hepatic marker enzyme activities, kidney function markers, and mineral contents were estimated in the serum samples. Our findings revealed the probability of B.melitensis growth with 93-98%. The 34-50% of other species such as S.paucimobilis, A.lwoffii, A.salmonicida, and O.ureolytica were also noted in the serum of camels. In biochemical studies, the decreased status of glucose, total protein, albumin, and globulin in the serum of brucella-affected camels. The activities of AST, ALT, ALP, LDH, and GGT were up-regulated in the serum of brucella-infected camels. The levels BUN, creatinine, urea, creatine kinase, and bilirubin were also increased in the serum of brucella-affected camels. The calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, and iron were decreased in the brucella-infected camels. Here, we found the 93-98% probability of B.melitensis growth in the blood samples of camels. Furthermore, Brucella infection adversely altered the blood metabolites, liver function marker enzyme activities, kidney function markers, and mineral contents in the serum of camels.

Comparative Immunology Microbiology and Infectious Diseases

Background and methodology Brucellosis in livestock causes huge economic loses of developing countries and demonstrates a serious health risks to the patrons of infected dairy goods and meat. Prevention of brucellosis in cattle relies on the trustworthiness of the techniques utilized to detect the causative pathogen. In the current investigation, we described the exploration of the well-known real-time PCR technique based on the Brucella-specific IS711 with different tissue samples of dromedary camels in Qatar. Results The findings of the real-time PCR unveiled the occurrence of Brucella spp in 60% of lung tissues, 71.42% of liver tissues, 72% of spleen tissues, 25% of kidney tissues, and 42.42% of placental fluid samples. Among them, the liver tissues and spleen tissues possessed the highest number of positive results, whereas kidney tissues displayed the lowest number of positive results for Brucella spp. Conclusion The findings of this investigation discloses that PCR technique is a sensitive and specific technique for the identification of Brucella spp. in dromedary camels. Most of the tissues samples showed the presence of Brucella spp. and also we concluded that there is a need for further studies to be conducted in order to identify specific species of Brucella.

Objectives: Brucellosis is a zoonosis with severe complications for both humans and animals. In this work, we intended to examine the Brucella infection in dromedary camels in Qatar by using different analysis. Materials and Methods: A total of 203 samples of dromedary camels were randomly collected from the nearby farms in Qatar. Real-time PCR for the genus specific Brucella cell surface salt extractable bcsp31 kDa protein gene were performed on DNA extracted from camel samples. Rose Bengal and rivenol tests were performed to detect the Brucella species. The milk samples were collected from the camels and utilized for the milk ring test. Results: The outcomes of RT-PCR analysis illustrate the presence of Brucella spp. in 170 samples (83.74%) out of 203 samples. The findings of immunological assays also proved the presence of Brucella spp. such as Rose Bengal (67.14%), ELISA (71.42%), and precipitation assay (65.71) in both serum and blood samples of the dromedary camels, which were collected from the Qatar. Conclusions: In conclusion, it was clear that the incidence of the brucellosis in camels is significantly rising in Qatar region and there is a need to control the spread of the disease from camels to camels as well as from camels to humans.

Background and Objective: The rheumatoid arthritis is autoimmune disease and it is a major health issues among the peoples in worldwide. People affected by rheumatism have double risk of heart disease, lungs and chest infections, which causes 10-20% of deaths in individuals. The present research work was aimed to evaluate the antiarthritic potential of synthesized silver nanoparticles from the aqueous extract of M.concanensis leaves. Material and Methods: The arthritis was induced by complete freund's adjuvant method and the rats was treated with synthesized silver nanoparticles from aqueous extract of M.concanensis leaves. The body weight, paw volume, hematological parameters, liver function marker enzymes and the renal function markers of the arthritic rats and nanoparticles treated rats was analyzed by the standard methods. Results: The results of the present study were made the new findings in antiarthritic activity of silver nanoparticles from M.concanensis leaves. The nanoparticles showed a noteworthy antiarthritic activity against FCA induced rheumatoid arthritis in experimental rats. Conclusion: Based on the above results, it was concluded as the present work are states the better understand on the antiarthritic activity of silver nanoparticles of Moringa concanensis Nimmo leaves.
