The article deals with the problem of determining the estimation of the statistical value of life with the help of the economic equivalent of this cost on the example of Zaporizhzhia region in terms of social guarantees or the size of compensations for the unrealized economic, intellectual and social potential, lost profit for the economic system, and the loss of breadwinner. For evaluation together with normative approaches justified application of a more correct mathematical apparatus an actuarial approach that takes into account the random nature of the onset of death.
