世界幼兒教育聯會香港分會（OMEP-Hong Kong）自2005年起成立幼兒國情教育工作小組。作為推動本港幼兒國情教育的先鋒，本會積極提升幼師和幼兒對祖國的認識，籌備和實施幼兒國情教育教師培訓計劃，並將成果輯錄成《薪火相傳 始於幼兒教育：幼兒國情教育教材彙編》。時光荏苒，隨着香港與內地聯繫和合作交流機會增多，社會對中華文化的了解和參與有了更高的要求。為進一步推動在新時代背景下優秀中華傳統文化的學習和傳承，OMEP-Hong Kong喜獲香港教育局優質教育基金贊助，於2018年12月起舉辦「中華傳統文化教學幼師培訓計劃」。
