Mt. Diwata Range is a key conservation site located at the southern end of the Diwata range in Agusan del Sur and Surigao del Sur Provinces in north-eastern Mindanao Island, Philippines. It is also one of the Important Bird Areas of the Philippines. To assess the species richness of herpetofauna especially the endemic, threatened, and socio-economically important species in Mt. Sambilikan, Mt. Ararat and Mt.Berseba of the Diwata Range, Agusan del Sur Province, fieldworks were conducted from October - November 2006, February - March 2007 and October 2007 in five sampling sites at elevations of 206 to 1050 meters above sea level. Primary data were collected using a combination of cruising, quadrat and trapping methods.
