... Mass media, particularly television, exhibits this Hindu resonant imagery (Mitra 1993;Pollock 1993;Ninan 1995;Butcher 2003). Hinduism has slowly and steadily dissociated from its traditional social structures and is associated with political parties and organizations promoting Indian culture (Srinivas 2013).
