In developing nations' primary healthcare systems, medicinal plants and their mimetics are thought to be the most significant element. The objective of research was to execute identification & characterization of the bio-active compounds present in whole plant extract of Crotalaria biflora using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrum (GC-MS). The preliminary phytochemical evaluation of methanolic extract of Crotalaria biflora reveals the existence of alkaloids, Glycosides, terpenoids, carbohydrates etc. Different peaks from the GC-MS analysis results indicate the occurrence of numerous phytochemicals having various medicinal values. The major phytocompounds 5-Methyl-2-(3-Cyclopropyl-4-Oxo-Propenyl) Furan, Bisnoraliocholanic Acid, 6,9,12,15-Docosatetraenoic Acid, Methyl Ester and minor compounds were also present. The findings suggest that Crotalaria biflora has a variety of bioactive chemicals with a range of biological activity. As a result, it is advised as a plant with significant phytopharmaceuticals.
