The study entitled 'Tourism Investment Attraction' was conducted on the Eastern zone of Tigrai Regional state. To achieve the general and specific objectives of the research, a descriptive research design was applied and both primary as well as secondary sources of data were used. Three towns namely, Adigrat, Wukro, and Hawzen were selected for the reason that they are the most tourist destination towns. Secondly, census was used to include all the tourism bureau officials and also the registered tour guide operators. Moreover, 400 investors in the tourism sector from the three sampled towns were included using probability proportionate to sample size techniques. The research findings revealed that the most important reason that affects tourism investment decision are financial, location, and economic factors with the diversification and relationships coming out as the least factors that affect the tourism investment decision. Governments at all levels in eastern zone currently have several roles in influencing supply side issues and tourism investment. These include: Funding transport and tourism infrastructure, Public Private Partnerships to provide infrastructure, developing and implementing policy to promote tourism investment, Funding planning processes, Regulating planning and project assessment processes, Supporting a range of soft infrastructure programs, e.g. digital technology development. The key identified constraints and gaps were: Airport and transport linkages, Convention and exhibition centers, City accommodation, Public precincts, attractions and recreation assets.
