Over the past two decades, feminist geopolitics has deepened as a material analytic and political sensibility for geographers. This chapter rehearses some of the central contributions and omissions of feminist geopolitics but also extends the concept in three specific areas. First, we illustrate how feminist geopolitics has been enhanced by rich insights beyond Anglophone feminisms and political geographies, especially in languages other than English and through calls to decolonize geography, including feminist geopolitics. Second, we envision feminist geopolitics as an analytic, embedded in the material world, and addressing violence against once colonized persons, as well as queer, trans, Black, Indigenous, and all persons of colour (QTBIPOC), across space and over time. Finally, the COVID-19 pandemic is mobilized as a case study to illustrate the relevance of feminist geopolitics as assemblage, highlighting its constellations of power relations and how travel, infect, and kill so unevenly.
