Over the last decade, research on evolving computational thinking (CT) has garnered heightened attention. Assessing the publication tendencies and nucleus contents of investigations on progressing CT to direct future research initiatives, develop policies, and integrate them into instructional materials is timely and exceedingly essential in education. Therefore, this research reviewed publications on progressing CT to identify research trends and core contents published in the Scopus database from 2008 to May 2022. For this reason, this study applied bibliometric and content analysis to 132 selected publications. After examining bibliometrics, the findings indicate a steady increase in publications related to game-based learning (GBL) and CT, reaching a peak in 2021, with the United States emerging as the most prolific contributor in terms of authors, institutions, and countries). The leading country in citations is primarily China. The document that received the most citations is Hsu’s 2018 paper on “Computers and Education”. Analysis of keywords and themes reveals core content tendencies, emphasizing teaching methods and attitudes aimed at improving CT via GBL. These results offer valuable insights for researchers and educators to inform their future work. However, future studies may benefit from including other databases such as Web of Science (WoS) and PubMed, employing alternative bibliometric software like VOSviewer or CiteSpace, as well as collecting data from June 2022.

Learner-centered and learner-driven pedagogy have long been advocated by many educators and scholars who focus on sustainable education. This study proposes a pedagogical approach called collaborative learning by teaching (CLBT), which is both learner-centered and learner-driven. This study aims to explore and analyze the student perceptions of CLBT by conducting a field experiment in a Chinese public university. The quantitative results show that student perceptions were comprised of three dimensions: perceptions of CLBT, perceptions of teamwork, and perceptions of mobile learning. The male students had significantly more positive perceptions of CLBT and mobile learning compared to the female students. The qualitative findings indicate that although students have some difficulties with self-discipline, they gain much in active learning capabilities and teamwork skills. The relationship between CLBT and sustainability competence should be further studied in the future.

The development of network and mobile technologies contributed to the emergence of mobile and ubiquitous learning. Therefore mobile and ubiquitous learning are attracting both academic and public interest in the recent year. Owing to mobile learning is defined as “the processes of coming to know through conversations across multiple contexts among people and personal interactive technologies”, this study conducts a content analysis to view the relative researches that apply this technology to facilitate various activities of learning. Those activations of learning can be designed in formal and informal and personalized learning environments during classroom lectures or outside of the classroom. The advantage of portable technologies can help learners to connect various learning activities both in formal and informal personalized learning environments.

Owing to there are still has difficulties of lacking a convenient way to manage various devices and provide customize service either by an appliance or recreational equipment. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a system (or device) to control and management this problem. For economic considerations, it is inevitable to have a new system (or device) for this requirement. Preferably, it can be achieved by using available or easily made hardware with properly designed software architecture for control. In present, it is made by customizing circuits with only one specification for specific equipment. It is still lacking a integrate system or device can provide and integrate and manage those various respond or feedback data. To achieve this goal, this research proposes a device with control programming system also defined data in a device database and an instruction database to solve this problem.

Online auctions are a new trading model that integrates auction mechanisms and the Internet. However, during the interaction between buyers and sellers, service failures inevitably occur. When service failures occur, selecting an effective service recovery strategy to correct the failure is an important issue. In this study, 867 failure incidents from buyers of online auction service encounters are classified into eighteen categories in three main groups, and the recovery strategies are classified into 10 types. An effective strategy is also identified for each service failure. Moreover, this study proposes the “service failure severity – post-recovery repeat purchase intention matrix” to rank the service failures that should be avoided. This study can help online auction sellers understand buyer perceptions of service failure and recovery strategies to improve service quality, avoid negligence and make proper recovery decisions.

... The research also shows that when students are adept at using concept mapping tools, they can gain deeper conceptual understanding. On the other hand, Chen et al. (2021) suggested that integrating concept maps into a traditional programming robotics course can increase students' propensity to think computationally. Such computational tools can be applied in different subject areas and can even support blended learning environments (Mouza et al., 2017). ...

... A random forest classifier is a meta-estimator that employs decision tree classifiers fitted on various subsets of the dataset. It uses averaging to enhance predictive accuracy and mitigate the risk of overfitting [21]. To mitigate the issue of overfitting, it is imperative to augment the number of decision trees; an elevated number of trees enhances predictive accuracy [22]. ...

... Research indicates that students' perceptions of CLA differ by demographics, as highlighted by studies from Zhou et al., (2019) and Al-Quasham et al., (2022), who maintained that Male students tend to view CLA more positively than female students, showing their preference for dynamic and heterogeneous groups. However, female students prioritize the quality of learning in a collaborative setting, while male students focused more on opportunities for improvement (Ahmadi et al., 2021). ...

... The development of learning resources available on the Internet assists individualised, differentiated instruction. For its effective, efficient integration in teaching and learning, many researchers have explored the path-based approach [2], [5], [19], [22], [25]. A learning path is a learning-environment functionality that integrates learning objects in a road map for students [4] and is aimed at a student's individual inquiry in learning to select their learning activities [22]. ...
