... However, the PAH fingerprinting of petrogenic and pyrogenic sources are more likely to be inferred and identified using specific PAH isomer diagnostic pair ratios. Petrogenic sources are generally linked to LMW PAHs, while combustion processes (i.e., pyrogenic sources) are linked to HMW PAHs (Lourenço et al., 2013).
