... Fertile plant twigs from all tree species were collected randomly from different habitats of GNP during the visit, and voucher specimens were processed through conventional herbarium techniques (Jain and Rao, 1977;Paul et al., 2020). The specimens were identified by consulting various literatures (Hooker, 1872(Hooker, -1897Prain, 1903;Hara, 1966;Ohashi, 1975;Hara et al., 1978Hara et al., , 1979Hara et al., , 1982Grierson and Long, 1983, 1984, 1991, 1999Noltie, 1994Noltie, , 2000 and matching with previously collected specimens in NBU and CAL herbaria. ... However, this lectotypification is erroneous since no such specimen exists at P, and Rudge never travelled to South America; the material that he used to describe the taxa in his Plantarum Guianae Rariorum Icones et Descriptiones was in fact collected by Joseph Martin in French Guiana. The fate of Martin's specimens was described by Stearn and Williams (1957), and summarized by Stafleu and Cowan (1983: 971-972). Succinctly, in 1803, France and England were at war, and the specimens collected by Joseph Martin in French Guiana, originally intended for the Museum of Natural History of Paris, were confiscated by two British privateers and brought to London. ...

... The plant species referred to be useful by respondents were collected, pressed, dried, mounted and preserved based on standard methods as given by (Forman & Bridson 1989). Before preservation all the collected vouchers were examined and identified with the help literature (Hooker 1872;Hara et al. 1978Hara et al. , 1982Hara & Williams 1979;Grierson & Long 1983;Press et al. 2000). Furthermore, the species were confirmed by comparing with herbarium specimens deposited at KATH (National Herbarium and Plant Laboratories, Godawari, Lalitpur, Nepal) ...
... Finally weeds were mounted on herbarium sheet having 28cm x 42 cm size and identified with the help of stranderd literature (Hooker 1872-1997, Biosciences 2011) and other bulletin. Nomenclature of the plants is based on Hara et al.(1978Hara et al.( -1982. Those unidentified specimen were sent to National Herbarium Centre for identification. ...
