The most complicated problems raised in literary translation cultural elements such as the sayings. The translator has to decide if you keep them, so that the reader perceives the otherness, or "acclimatizes them", replacing them with others, own of the other culture. Sorin Marculescu, translating the exemplary novels of Cervantes, preferred to translate literally Spanish sayings, not sought equivalent Romanian proverbs.
