Information literacy is a fundamental component of the educational process. One of the most essential considerationsinvolved in the course of providing effective education to students, is the need to instil in them the need to be awareof the information and facts that most impact their own lives and the societies in which they live. Informationliteracy includes accessing the essential pieces of information that are necessary for the purpose of functioning as afully informed adult in a democratic society. When these statements are considered within the scope of education andforeign or second language teaching, it is apparent that teachers need to be information literates since they are theones who transfer information or show the way towards it. In order to find out the Information literacy levels of thestudents of two state universities in Turkey, a survey was conducted in the study. The participants were the studentsof the English Language and Literature departments of these universities. As one of universities prefers to remainanonymous, we called them University1 and 2 in the study. University 1 had 50 participants and University 2 had 47,so there were a total of 97 participants in the survey. Descriptive research design was used in this research. The twouniversities were compared, from the point of view of information literacy awareness in the study, and somedifferences were found. For further studies, many more universities can be included in order to obtain a more generaland common conclusions.

The first one was learner autonomy survey questionnaire developed by Zhang and Li (2004), which was administered to investigate how autonomous the participants were in learning English as a foreign language. The second one was the perceptual learning style preference questionnaire (PLSPQ) developed by Reid (1987). The two questionnaires were administered to 600 graduate students enrolled in the Institutions of Social Sciences and the Institution of Health at Balıkesir University in the academic years of 2014-2015. Only 504 graduate students responded the questionnaires. Then it was announced that there would be two types of English YDS preparation courses for the participants enrolled at Balıkesir University, Institute of M.A programs. 30 participants applied to join the courses. The participants are assigned to two groups, as instructed and non-instructed on voluntary bases. ... This situation influences academics, teachers, and authorities to reassess English language teaching, particularly to review the methods English is educated and evaluated and located in the programs at the universities. Accordingly, it is clear that the center of language teaching has switched from the monolingual perception to bi/multi/translingual perception (Liu & Fang, 2022) and there is a need to raise students' awareness about learning in a bi/multilingual environment (Küçükler & Tosuncuoglu, 2018). ...

... They felt not being inclusive of the class activities since the fonts used were too small, they could not see the board, and needed reading materials to be provided to them in PDFs, but the teachers did not give them. Küçükler (2018) in their study, noted that most of the teachers found it hard to prepare for the students with visual impairments, and it took their initiatives to ensure that the content taught in class was accessible to them. According to the questionnaires given to the teachers, most teachers (100%) of those who answered the questionnaires reported to have not attended any course to enable them to teach the visually impaired. ...
