The depleting in precipitation though several months in Wadi Ak-Shoor area, leads to study the many small springs (4 locations) along the wadi near Abu Mariya village. The chemical analysis for cations (Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+ & K+) and anion (HCO3-, SO4=, Cl- & NO3-) show that there are an increasing in calcium and sulfate concentrations, due to the dissolving of aquifer rocks (gypsum, limestone and marly limestone). In addition to study some chemical and physical parameters which are related to the water quality (eg. pH, E.C., T.H. and T.D.S.). The springs water classified as hard water just used for plant that bearing the high salinity. So that these springs don’t suitable for drinking. Two additional locations which are located to the southward were analyzed chemically to evaluate the quality. One of them represent a spring and the another is an artesian well. The results declare that the artesian water is so suitable for drinking, although this well is don’t use for any purpose.
