Poultry Science
Dr. Kendall W. Scott, Associate Professor of Animal Science, University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, died January 29, 1966. He was born in Blythedale, Missouri, in 1922, and received a B.S. degree at the University of Wisconsin in 1950, and a Ph. D. degree at Washington State University in 1956. During World War II, Dr. Scott served in the Pacific as an Ordnance Officer and was awarded the Bronze Star for heroism. He joined the staff of the University of Arkansas in 1955. Although he conducted some research, his professed interest was teaching. Twice he was the recipient of the Alpha Zeta Outstanding Instructor Award, and for three years served as Visiting Scientist with the Arkansas Academy of Science. He was Past President of the University Faculty Club. He was a member of the Poultry Science Association, American Society of Animal Science, Sigma Xi, Gamma Sigma Delta, and Alpha Zeta.
