In the recent years the state of research in this respect has considerably improved: the weapons from the Bogaczewo and Sudovian cultures of the West Balt circle have been presented (Kontny 2017a) and a comprehensive analysis of the Wielbark culture military equipment has been just published (Kontny 2019b: 69-113); we also have the first descriptions of the weapons in the so-called Lubusz group (Czarnecka 1995) recently expanded by the discoveries at the sacrificial lake site in Lubanowo (Kontny 2016a;Kontny et al. 2016) and the necropolis in Czelin (Rogalski 2015).
