It is listed as Least Concern as, while there is a continuing decline in the extent and quality of forest habitat in at least parts of its range, this is a very widespread species known from many locations, and one which is tolerant of some degree of forest degradation, which is unlikely to be declining fast enough to warrant listing in a more threatened category.

This species is assessed as Vulnerable because of a population decline, suspected to be more than 30% over the last three generations, inferred from shrinkage in distribution, and extensive marshland habitat destruction and degradation.

It is listed as Least Concern because, although it is seldom recorded, it has a relatively wide distribution, and because it is unlikely to be declining fast enough to qualify for listing in a more threatened category.

This species has a restricted distribution (with an extent of occurrence below 120 km2 and an area of occupancy that, based on the extent of grassland habitats, will not exceed 50-70 km2) in Nepal, where it occurs entirely in Shuklaphantah National Park. It is assumed to occur in 2-5 locations, based on prescribed burning to maintain the grassland habitats in the park, and while the impacts of fire are not understood and may not be leading to a long-term decline in the extent and quality of its habitat the species appears to have undergone a decline in the number of mature individuals since it was first detected in 2002. It is consequently listed as Endangered.

This species has a very restricted distribution in central Nepal (area of occupancy (AOO) = 4 km2) and it occurs in one location, based on the main threat affecting it. There is continuing decline in the extent and quality of its habitat due to the expansion of urban areas in the surroundings of Bardibas. It is therefore listed as Critically Endangered.

Listed as Least Concern because while it is does not have a large extent of occurrence, there are no current threats to this species. However, future forest fragmentation may degrade habitat and so may affect the conservation status of this species

This species is assessed as Data Deficient because it is known only from two localities and there are no data on population size and trends, ecology, and the threats that may be affecting it. Taxonomic studies are needed to establish the phylogenetic relationship with other related species, particularly A. sikkimensis, with which it is confused.

This species is listed as Least Concern because it has a wide distribution and it is unlikely that any major threat is affecting its population. It may be locally impacted by habitat degradation and intentional killing, but due to the wide distribution, these cannot be considered major threats at present.

Listed as Data Deficient, as although it appears to be widely distributed there is substantial confusion as to whether all of these records truly refer to this species. There are threats to the forests in the distribution and it remains unclear as to whether the species is declining or not.
