One of the many challenges in running a business is cost accounting. While there are many different costing methods, there is still a need to create new ones. The aim of this article is to develop a new method of cost calculation, which is adapted to modern conditions related to the adaptation of products to the needs of customers. This article presents an original method of determining production costs, which is based on the labor consumption of products. This method is a combination and development of known methods; however, by applying more precise accounting bases, it leads to more precise results. The developed method of cost calculation, thanks to its universality, can be used in most enterprises.

The paper presents the methodology of designing the production process of a new product from the point of view of the criterion of the assembly operations technology (Design for Assembly - DFA) in the automotive industry. The article describes methods and techniques used during the implementation of a new product into production. The impact of the methods on improving the assembly technology of a complex product is described. Suggestions for improving for unit and small series production are presented.

The paper presents a methodology for the design of the production process of a new product from the point of view of manufacturability criterion assembly operations (Design for Assembly - DFA) in the automotive industry. Methods and techniques, used in implementation of the DFA method to produce a new product, are mentioned. Impact of those methods on improving the assembly technology of a complex product is described. Suggestions for improving the abovementioned methods are presented, as ell. The examples given illustrate the proposed procedures.

Featured Application New method to assess design for manufacturability based on fuzzy variables. Abstract The study proposes a procedure for assessing the designed manufacturing process for a new products. The purpose of the developed procedure is to evaluate the production process from the point of view of product design manufacturability of a unit and the small-lot production process. Evaluation of the design for the production process of a new product is based on criteria like process performance efficiency. Fuzzy logic-based methods were used to assess the designed process at different stages of its implementation—processing, assembly and organization of production. The developed method was illustrated by an example. The method presented in the study may be used by designers of production processes and employees of companies involved in the rationalization of already implemented production processes. The proposed method applies specifically to small-lot and unit production.
