This article aims to explain (and appreciate) the work of Angel Perez Gomez and his associates to prepare teachers for creative engagement with educational change. From a personal and professional perspective, the author explains the development and the relationship of Angel and his associate researchers’ and his and his peers’ works. The paper situates the relevance of Angel Perez and the Malaga group’s work at a national and international level by bringing it into discussion with other relevant works on the same topic and with his own perspective.
