... The latest study results showed that the freezing/thawing index in the permafrost regions of Northern Hemisphere has prominent decreasing/rising trends since 1901, both indices presented sharply changing magnitude after 1988 in the circum-Arctic (Shi et al., 2019), from 1981 to 2000 in the Mongolia , and after 1970 s in the Northern Hemisphere . The environmental impacts of climatic warming are well documented in the QTP and Mongolia in recent years, including vegetation phenology changes, pasture deterioration, natural disasters, nomadic herders' life, thawing cryosphere, etc. (Cheng & Wu, 2007;Wu & Zhang, 2008;Bohannon, 2008;Lu et al., 2009;Dulamsuren et al., 2010;Kang et al., 2010;Marin, 2010;Wu et al, 2012;Zhang et al., 2013;Peng et al., 2021). As an essential component of the earth's cryosphere, permafrost is considered one of the most sensitive indicators of climatic warming (Pavolv, 1994;Cheng & Wu, 2007;Yang et al., 2010;Bockheim et al., 2013;Cheng & Jin, 2013). ...
