Ademais, a mamoneira é muito exigente em nutrientes, por isso em solos menos produtivos é aconselhável aplicar fertilizantes(IICA, 2007).Essa planta apresenta elevada tolerância à seca, desenvolvendo diversos mecanismos de tolerância à deficiência de água no ambiente edáfico. Um desses mecanismos, segundoBeltrão et al.
