The aim of the article is to describe the way Andrzej Sosnowski involves his reader into a game initiated by his text, game which forces one to trace intertextual allusions and to make them the basis for interpretation. Looking at particular interpretative models of Sosnowski's poetry and an attempt at an experimental analysis is supposed to point to its functions, limitations and consequences for the relationship between the present and the literary past, tradition and cultural memory. The article also goes beyond the reading reduced by mere listing of the intertextual allusions.
