The article discusses the results of the detection status of a professional identity among second-year students, enrolled in “Management” (the training level “Bachelor”) of University of civil engineering. The study was conducted according to method of J. Marcia “Professional identity. The definition of the status of professional identity”. The results are documented formation of professional identity in 25% of the students. Social competence, meeting the requirements of the profession, is not formed.
