During the campaigns in Cueva Victoria in 2009, 2010 and 2011, the installation of a scaffold allowed a precise excavation of in situ material. The excavation was performed in two locations at the top of the fossiliferous breccia with an exceptional accumulation of fossil remains, with densities of up to 854 bones/m3. Before extraction, 3D coordinates, direction and dip were taken of each tooth, bone or bone fragment. The processing of these data provided information on the processes and genesis of the accumulation. The accumulations of bones are placed at the top the sediments infilling the cave, supplied by an alluvial fan, near a vertical entrance and close to the lateral wall of the cave. The predominant orientation of elongated bones, together with the sedimentary context, indicate a reworking of the bones by sporadic water flows.
