The article is devoted to the analysis of the concept, content and structure of professional adaptation of military personnel to military service using means of physical training and sports. It was determined that the professional adaptation of military personnel is a complex process that includes psychophysiological, social and professional components. Special attention is paid to the role of physical training and sports in ensuring the effective adaptation of servicemen to the conditions of service, in particular in the context of the formation of the necessary physical, moral and willpower qualities and professional skills. On the basis of a systemic approach, the main elements and stages of the adaptation process, as well as their interrelationship and influence on the general level of combat readiness of servicemen, are revealed. Means of physical training and sports play an important role in the professional adaptation of military personnel. They contribute to increasing physical endurance, strengthening health, developing mental stability and forming teamwork skills. Thus, the professional adaptation of military personnel is the result of the complex influence of physical, psychological and social factors. Means of physical training and sports are important tools that contribute to a successful adaptation process, providing recruits with not only physical strength, but also psychological readiness for service, as well as integration into the military team.

The article analyzes the structure and components of the system of physical training of the French Armed Forces, current and prospective French and Ukrainian military training programs and effectiveness of physical training in the context of ensuring a high level of combat readiness of soldiers of the French Armed Forces. The system of physical training of the French Armed Forces is distinguished by its uniqueness and long history of formation and development, which reflects military traditions and innovations. Military training of officers in France includes three main stages, each of which has its own characteristics and specialization. It is characterized by the fact that training in the French Armed Forces is based on an individual approach to each soldier, adapting appropriate training programs to the specific needs and tasks of military unit. It has been determined that the French military actively cooperates with leading sports organizations, scientific research institutions and international partners in order to remain on the front line in the field of physical training and sports. This commitment to innovation provides the French Armed Forces with the ability to effectively respond to new challenges and threats, maintaining a high level of combat readiness. The system of physical training of the French Armed Forces is an important element of the national defence strategy, which combines centuries of experience, modern scientific achievements and an innovative approach. This makes it one of the most effective and progressive in the world, ensuring the reliable protection of the national interests of France.

This article analyses the peculiarities of physical training for officers in Canadian military institutions. It provides a list of the best institutions and offers a brief overview of each. For each institution, it presents sets of exercises used to assess the physical fitness levels of officers. Age and gender-specific factors are considered when monitoring the physical preparedness of servicemen, and the specific goals of individual exercise groups are indicated. It is evident that physical training and sports are mandatory components of officer preparation in Canadian military colleges. While the objectives and tasks of servicemen physical education may vary in wording and content, among the common objectives for physical education for officers is the development of physical abilities and motor skills. The quality of physical preparedness in Canadian military colleges is ensured through the presence of qualified physical fitness specialists. A mandatory aspect of physical training is the completion of tests that determine fitness for further education at military educational institutions and service in the armed forces. The article supports the idea that team sports cultivate self-sacrifice and team spirit. Individual sports enhance self- confidence, balance, and self-assuredness. In a comprehensive context, all kinds of sports cultivate self-discipline and the ability to react quickly and accurately to various circumstances and extreme service conditions while maintaining control and resilience. Adapting the results obtained to Ukrainian conditions, it can be concluded that strengthening the professionally oriented physical training of officers while considering the specific aspects of physical training of officers in Canadian military educational institutions and Canadian Armed Forces is advisable.
